What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Native Portuguese, Fluent English (written and spoken), Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or similar), or equivalent professional qualification, 3 or more years of professional experience in property risk assessment, facility engineering, loss prevention, or related field, technical knowledge of fire protection systems, building construction, HVAC, electrical systems, and machinery safety, Familiarity with property risk assessment frameworks, standards, and industry best practices (NFPA, ISO, industry guidelines), Detail-oriented and organized profile with analytical and problem-solving capabilities, Valid driving license and ability to travel regularly to client sites, Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn risk assessment software
Nice to Have
Professional engineering certifications (PE, EUR ING, or equivalent) or specialized credentials in risk assessment, Experience with specific risk disciplines such as fire protection engineering, electrical safety, structural engineering, or process safety, Knowledge of specialized assessment tools and inspection equipment for property evaluation, consulting and client relationship management experience, Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable business recommendations, Intellectual curiosity and commitment to staying current with emerging risks and industry developments, Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical and executive audiences, team player with collaborative approach to problem-solving and a solutions-oriented mindset, Knowledge of Spanish

## Company: Marsh ## ## Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Marsh’s Risk Consulting team helps clients to identify, assess and manage property and asset-related risks that can disrupt operations: from fire, flood and windstorms to terrorism and other unpredictable threats. As a Consulting Analyst, you will deliver risk engineering, hazard and loss-control assessments, and business interruption studies across the full property lifecycle (planning, design, construction, maintenance, renovation and disposal), translating technical findings into clear, cost‑effective recommendations that align with clients’ business objectives. **We will count on you to:** * Conduct detailed on-site facility evaluations and property risk assessments. * Evaluate fire protection systems, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and operational hazards. * Assess natural disaster exposure including flood, seismic, storm, and weather-related risks. * Identify hazardous materials handling practices and recommend safety improvements. * Evaluate process safety, machinery safeguards, and preventative maintenance protocols. * Develop prioritized, practical recommendations to reduce risk and prevent losses. * Prepare comprehensive technical reports with findings, photographs, risk assessments, and actionable improvement plans. * Support insurance underwriting decisions with expert technical insights and loss estimation. * Travel to client facilities (regional and occasional international) for on-site inspections. * Maintain detailed documentation and coordinate follow-up assessments with clients. **What you need to have:** * Native Portuguese. * Fluent English (written and spoken). * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or similar), or equivalent professional qualification.
