Eligibility Requirements

exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, inclement weather conditions, airborne particles, vibration, hazardous materials, maneuver in small/confined spaces, stairs, ladders, stooping, bending, climbing, reaching, lifting, working from ladders, lifting carrying objects weighing up to 65 pounds, wear personal protective equipment and clothing, physically fit and alert at all times, willing to obtain 2 C License, work outside normal business hours (evenings, weekends, holidays), participate in Resident On-Call Program, handle complex and confidential information, support other locations as needed, work effectively with difficult residents, work in dirty, hot, cramped, or otherwise uncomfortable environments, frequent walking, including stairs

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

High School diploma or equivalent, technical certification, 2+ years relevant work experience in facilities, demonstrated experience in building operations, construction, maintenance, or facilities management, Broad knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry systems, valid Massachusetts driver’s license

Nice to Have

familiarity with Building Automation Systems, familiarity with work management systems, Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships

What You'll Do.

coordinate maintenance of building services

ensure systems are maintained

oversee completion of repairs

process maintenance/service requests

monitor building automated HVAC systems

perform building inspections

maintain building inventory and supplies

inspect and prepare vacant units

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Works closely with Area/Property Manager; Liaise with University colleagues; work both independently and as part of a team
