Our Accounting team is growing, and we are looking to add a Property Accountant! This role will require a high degree of collaboration both as a member of a Team, and cross-functionally. The Property Accountant will work closely with Lease Compliance, Construction / Development, Property Maintenance, Finance, Leasing, Legal and Tenant Coordination. Relationship building, coupled with a strong work ethic, will be key components to success. **What You’ll Do** The Property Accountant will work cooperatively with their Team on a portfolio of commercial real estate projects / properties. Specifically, this work will include but will not be limited to the following: * Monthly general ledger maintenance (GAAP & Tax basis) * Tenant billings (utilities, percentage rent, CAM, and RET) * Budgeting and forecasting * Financial statement preparation * REIT testing * Cash management * Assistance in the annual audit * Oversight of tax return preparation **Keys to Success** The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have a solid work ethic. We’re searching for someone who wants to make a positive impact on a growing organization. A dynamic individual that can pivot to and prioritize tasks will be most successful in this role. The ability to work independently, and as the member of a Team is a must. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented but can also conceptualize the big picture. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in accounting * 1 to 3 years of general ledger / financial statement preparation in a similar environment * Knowledge of MRI, Avidxchange and Anaplan is highly desirable * Strong Excel knowledge is also a plus * T
