What You'll Do.

Manage raw material cost

Identify inefficiencies

Ensure on time deliveries

Ensure accurate bills of materials

Manage inventory levels

Schedule projects into production planning

Check production schedules

Verify progress of jobs

Inform supervisor of any variance from production schedule

Oversee maintenance of estimate files

Oversee maintenance of work order files

Oversee maintenance of outstanding orders files

Arrange production release meetings

Arrange interval meetings

Procure outside production buyouts

Procure raw materials for assigned projects

Develop productive relationships with vendors

Develop productive relationships with contractors

Supervise contractors

Develop productive relationships with subcontractors

Supervise subcontractors

Maintain standard cost of raw materials

Maintain buy quantities of raw materials

Arrange alternate supplier sources

Monitor vendor performance

Compile list of materials needed

Contact vendors to requisition materials

Contact Purchasing Department to requisition materials

Prepare instruction sheets for all systems

Analyze project requirements

Establish format for cost estimates
