What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Relevant experience working within the construction industry as a Project Manager, Ability to deliver a medium to large size project with minor support from senior staff, Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of project management, A client-centric outlook with a focus on the delivery of targets, quality and deadlines, meeting client objectives cost effectively, Ability to hold own in discussions and meetings with contractors and senior clients and other stakeholders, Ability to delegate tasks to assistants and support them on project activities
Nice to Have
Chartered or working towards Chartership
What You'll Do.
Managing construction projects from outset to completion
Undertaking the day-to-day project activities of a Project Manager
Support in identifying the project Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Produce and undertake project governance
Support in producing the procurement strategy report
Negotiations with contractors to establish budgets and programmes
Manage and support the project team on snagging inspections
Maintain and support good client working relationships
Act as main point of contact for queries
Undertake reviews of lessons learnt
implementing changes for future improvements
Ensure internal systems are kept updates
Timely sign off of invoices
Internal governance (reviews of flash reports and senior signatories on approved documents)
Observe Health & Safety provision in the working environment
Observe CDM 2015 regulations
Escalate any HSE issues
Endeavour to improve social and environmental impact
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Working collaboratively with a varied team of construction professionals and stakeholders; Working collaboratively with other consultants
Communication Scope
Ability to hold own in discussions and meetings with contractors and senior clients and other stakeholders; Acting as main point of contact for queries
Process & Methodology
Project management, Project governance, KPI identification, Procurement strategy, Budget management, Programme management, Snagging inspections, Lessons learned implementation, Finance tracking, Resource tracking, Invoice approval, Health & Safety management, CDM 2015 regulations
