### **Job Description** ## **Overview** Reporting to the Vice President of Monark Engineering, the Project Engineering Director - Civil plays a pivotal strategic and technical leadership role in advancing our Monark New Build. This role is ideal for a seasoned nuclear professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, innovation, and people leadership. The Project Engineering Director – Civil shall provide strategic and principal leadership role with respect to their assigned technical disciplines of the Monark New Build Project. They are responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians with primary accountability for the civil & structural scope of the project. This team will deliver their assigned new build design on time, on budget and with quality. ## **Your role** * Lead the development and modernization of in-house civil/structural engineering and drafting capabilities aligned with long-term OEM strategy. * Ensure optimal department sizing, including workforce planning to meet current and future project demands. * Drive succession planning, talent development, and knowledge transfer across the organization. * Promote a strong nuclear safety culture based on INPO standards and ensure robust training and qualification programs. * Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across engineering teams. * Oversee Technical Managers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and implementation of performance metrics to improve team effectiveness. * Strengthen relationships with customers and stakeholders through active engagement, industry representation, and support of STEM and brand initiatives. * Manage operational and technical functions, including budgets, resource planning, engineering governance, quality assurance, and development of best practices. ## **About you** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Professional Engin
