What They're Looking For.
Must Have
minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in Engineering, 1-3 years of application engineering or Program Management required preferably in the Automotive Industry, Japanese speaking and experience with the culture
Nice to Have
Familiarity with plastic injection molding and tooling as well as part design is highly recommended, Experience working with Japanese OEM's & Fluent in Japanese
What You'll Do.
Assume project leadership and overall responsibility for Automotive Technologies in damping
Drive activities to meet timing needs
Manage DFMEA and DVR&R activity through launch
Secure application design approval
Manage tooling budgets
Work with customer engineering and factory support to achieve results
Support Sika materials application strategy to meet customer requirements
Manage project timelines from award through 90 days post-launch
Ensure design reviews are complete and drawings are released in accordance with department procedures
Establish DVP&R's and DFMEA's and ensure design verification of parts including customer on-site validation
Manage engineering changes from quote approval by the customer to implementation at the manufacturing plant
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Supervisor
