What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years manufacturing experience relating to cutting tools, at least two years as Project Engineer, Ability to generate productive relationships with internal and external partners that improve access to resources and expertise, Understanding of metal cutting processes and cutting tool application, Knowledge in machining of ISO S, N and M materials, Knowledge in key Engg, Defence, Auto, components manufacturing inclusive process, tool selection, fixture, machine capabilities, Knowledge in CAM software (E. g; NX, Catia, MasterCAM) related to aerospace components inclusive 5 axis machining
Nice to Have
Advanced level of metal cutting knowledge, Relevant application knowledge in metal cutting processes, Understanding of metal cutting processes and cutting tool application, Mastery in relevant software such as CAM, CAD, FEM, dependent on segment, and need., Shows high skills in communicating in Native Language with business and technical communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
What You'll Do.
Prepare concept/ proposal process solutions for assigned projects
Define machining processes
and parameters for customers by developing new
or selecting and applying appropriate methods and processes.
Provide solutions in concert with the Business & Product Strategies outlined.
Use internal customized business software as necessary to support collection and routing of project requirements.
Maintain direct contact with Sandvik Coromant Sales
and Inside Sales Representatives as necessary to ensure effective levels of communication regarding the respective project solution
and any related concerns.
Provide Customer Documentation like Process Details and Tool Layouts
Visit customers as required to understand customer needs
present project solutions
and support implementation as needed
Prepare presentation materials and make presentations for internal and external customers
Follow-up and report on project status (cost
Communicate effectively with project team and stakeholders.
Conduct training for internal and external customers
Supports established sales targets at targeted customers.
Perform additional duties as required.
Support other engineering offices as required.
Define machining processes
and parameters for customers by developing new or selecting and applying appropriate methods and processes.
Benchmark best practices compared with other companies
Have awareness of all relevant components in the segment
and how to machine them looks out for what new components are coming
and develops manufacturing strategies for them
and suggests special tools needed for the segment
Produces CAM programs for all levels of machines including
3/4/5-axis machining centers
lathes and milling machines
FEM depending on role.
