What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5-10 years related experience, Accredited engineering school, 4 years direct engineering experience, Ph. D. degree, Experience with Crew Survival Systems, Experience with IVA or EVA Suit development, Experience with development of requirements documents, Experience with design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of Space system hardware, Knowledge of space hardware field concepts, Ability to prepare written documents, Ability to verbally present at meetings, Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Familiar with Johnson Space Center organizations, processes, and procedures
Nice to Have
Experience with NASA flight processes, Working knowledge of systems engineering topics, Previous experience in designing and building unique hardware, Previous testing experience, Familiarity with machine shop techniques, Processing hardware through manufacturing, Ability to perform hands on test buildup, Data processing, Documentation including test plans and reports, Ability to work independently, Exposure to human factors engineering, Exposure to safety processes, Risk management techniques, Prior experience in pressure systems, Prior experience in oxygen systems, Prior experience in suit systems

Creating safety products relevant to hardware to show requirement compliance and mission. Be an active participant in preparing and presenting content for design reviews with the HLS program. Lead/support any related team meetings or program meetings. Working with other project team members to ensure project requirements are achieved. Keep relevant program stakeholders abreast of project development and operational status. Shall provide statuses, schedule, and forward work information to ensure all necessary project objectives and milestones are being accomplished on time and within program/project resources.
