Full Job Description

Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. **WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:** * Review quotes, proposals, and purchase orders to confirm design requirements, technical accuracy, and pricing. * Develop project design schedules; monitor progress and resolve issues. * Coordinate design activities including civil design, steel fabrication, and project meetings. * Travel to customer sites to conduct technical evaluations, develop recommendations, and assist with field measurements when needed. * Resolve project design and warranty issues and respond to customer feedback on drawings. * Review customer and internal drawings to ensure compliance with specifications; identify corrections as needed. * Identify scope changes, and initiate requests for change orders. * Prepare engineering studies (e.g., CFD analysis) for customer projects or product development. * Drive product and process improvements and support development of new product offerings. * Provide technical support and data to internal and external customers. **YOU HAVE:** * A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or similar field * Working knowledge of drafting and 3-D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar) * 1-2+ years of engineering or design experience preferred **WE HAVE:** * A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day * nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
