Must Have
Proficiency in EVM processes, Project Management or Project Controls Management position, managing stakeholders, Experience in a client organisation or managing subcontractors, formal professional Project Management or project controls management qualification or certification or Membership of a relevant professional body, Resilience, Effective verbal and written communication skills, Excellent visual communicator, Experienced in the use of data and analytics, Successful leadership, Experience of project controls management under NEC Forms of Contract, Knowledge of the principles of Government investment processes and procedures, Experience of the rail industry and its regulatory framework, or a similarly regulated industry
Nice to Have
Chartered Status, Accredited NEC4 Project Manager, Formal qualification in Programme Management, e. g. , MSP - Managing Successful Programmes
What You'll Do.
Supervision and management of a Project Controls team
set individuals' objectives
ensure staff know objectives
monitoring and assuring the PMB
Agreeing on progress measurement methodology
ensuring timely submission of project actuals
Measuring current performance
forecasting future performance
Sustaining and improving planning
change control management policies
procedures & processes
ensuring proper application
Chairing and/or facilitating change forums
escalating change papers
ensuring choices are enacted
Advising project/programme leader
providing specialist advice
resolve or mitigate delays
Undertaking self-assessment of procedural compliance
sharing lessons learned and best-practice
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
work with product; managing stakeholders; clients; senior leaders; colleagues in a matrix and line organization; managing subcontractors; engage stakeholders
Communication Scope
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present at programme or portfolio level forums or meetings to senior stakeholders; visual communicator; provide insights and analysis through dashboards and visual reports
