Must Have
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field, Professional Accounting Qualification: CPA-K, CA, or ACCA (fully qualified and in good standing with the relevant professional body), Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in financial management in a complex organization, Grant management experience with local partner organizations, Experience in interpreting financial information and preparing and presenting financial reports to non-finance professionals in an accurate and timely manner, Cultural awareness and the ability to work collaboratively in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, Experience in training/capacity building of staff in a multi-cultural environment, leadership skills including supervise and supervise and motivate qualified professional staff with personal value systems, Demonstrated ability to meet corporate governance and accountability requirements of host governments, the organisation, and donors, Highly organised, with excellent planning, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills, Proven organisation and planning skills, Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel and internetail and accounting software -Agresso, In depth knowledge of managing grants and contractual requirements of institutional donors, Ability to work well with others under strict deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities, Good written and verbal communication skills and organisational skills language, Ability to work independently, take initiative and set priorities, Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, and report problems to the line manager with possible options and solutions

What You'll Do.
Lead and ensure programme/project budget preparation
Streamline FX rates for budgeting and reporting
Provide technical support for budget preparation
Support preparation of Annual Country Budget
Receive programme financial reports
Lead financial reporting review with programme team
Support PAs in financial management systems reviews
Extend support to finance and program staff
Prepare financial reports for donor compliance
Respond to donor feedback on financial reports
Facilitate internal and external audits
Implement audit recommendations
Ensure partner compliance with agreements
Assess and update partner status
Participate in partnership programme meetings
Undertake partner risk assessment
Oversee partner financial capacity building
Monitor and analyse partner financial reports
Undertake partners’ financial systems reviews
Contribute to cross-partner learning
Implement performance management system
mentor and coach team members
Ensure coordination of finance staff
Establish team approach to programming
Ensure regular team meetings
Ensure finance staff induction process
