CPRIT was established to create and expedite innovation in the area of cancer research and to enhance the potential for a medical or scientific breakthrough in the prevention of cancer and cures for cancer, to attract, create, or expand research capabilities of institutions of higher education and other public or private entities, to promote a substantial increase in cancer research and in the creation of high-quality new jobs in Texas, and to develop and implement the “Texas Cancer Plan”. CPRIT supports a wide variety of grant award mechanisms relevant to cancer care through product development, prevention, and basic and clinical research programs that will significantly impact cancer care and treatment in Texas. **Job Description Summary** GDIT manages the peer review of applications submitted to the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT). CPRIT supports a wide variety of grant award mechanisms relevant to cancer care through product development, prevention, and basic and clinical research programs that will significantly impact cancer care and treatment in Texas. GDIT is currently recruiting a Program Support Specialist to join our team to support CPRIT’s scientific peer review process at various stages: application receipt and processing, compliance checks, reviewer support, peer review meeting support, and preparation of pre- and post-review documents and deliverables
