Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, English, or a related discipline, Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in the specific subject matter, Previous experience in teaching or tutoring, Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies tailored to meet the needs of disadvantaged youth, Familiarity with college admissions processes, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities, Interpersonal skills, Patient ability to establish rapport with students, parents, and colleagues, Excellent communication skills, Organizational skills, Attention to detail, Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of our students, Willingness to extend self to help students succeed, Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms, Current knowledge of programs, objectives, and requirements, Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Nice to Have
Teaching experience in the specific subject matter, preferred, Teaching or tutoring, preferably with high school students from diverse backgrounds
What You'll Do.
Support development and implementation of interdisciplinary curriculum
Conduct needs assessments
Perform pre- and post-assessments
Deliver high-quality classroom instruction
Evaluate individual student needs
Provide targeted tutoring and academic support
Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans
Enforce and abide by Upward Bound rules and
Participate in Staff Training
Participate in scheduled staff meetings
Monitor and assess student progress regularly
Provide constructive feedback to students and their parents
Collaborate with other instructors and staff members
Coordinate educational activities
Mentor and guide students in setting academic goals
Assist students in preparing for standardized tests
Provide guidance and support to students in the

Maintain accurate records of student attendance
