Must Have
PhD in relevant field, Demonstrated ability to direct an award program/s and implement program improvements and innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs, Research track record including substantial record of research outputs in high quality outlets and emerging international recognition, Extensive experience in research leadership with the ability to build and develop collaborative research teams, mentor academic staff to deliver high quality outcomes, attract and secure external research funding to sustain research effort, manage funded research projects including complex budgets and reporting requirements, Extensive experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates to maximise research performance, Demonstrated ability to lead scholarly development and manage and supervise academic teams and members, Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a University, Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills including the ability to consult with senior executives, external bodies, produce executive reports, negotiate agreed directions, outcomes and targets within a collaborative environment, Proven ability as an effective member of a management team that develops and achieves shared goals and objectives, Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, RMIT Values and RMIT Leadership Model, English proficiency (IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.0 with no competency less than 6.5 or equivalent)
What You'll Do.
Provide leadership and foster excellence in teaching and research efforts of the School
Oversight of the Bachelor of Psychology program (including Honours program)
and distinguished contributions to the Program for maintaining and advancing scholarly
research and/or professional capabilities
Provide leadership and direction to Course Co-ordinators
Ensure a coherent and effective program-approach to learning and teaching
Facilitate the ongoing development of teaching materials
Regularly monitor and improve program performance
Provide leadership in relation to active and appropriate engagement of students
Ensure engagement and compliance with all relevant University
College and School policies
procedures and protocols and internal and external accreditation requirements
Monitor demand for the program
Develop plans and strategic direction of the program and School
Take on academic leadership roles involving participation in various committees
Provide strategic and academic leadership of the Program in consultation with the School Dean and other related stakeholders to enhance the student experience
Lead advancement of teaching in Psychology and the School of Science
Engineering and Technology
Initiate program improvements
Improve academic standards
Lead assessment design
conduct and moderation
Lead research in Psychology at national and international level
Develop highly successful research leading publication effort of research team/s
Identify and attract external research funding to sustain research growth
Supervise higher degree by research candidates
Lead effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Help develop academic staff by working with the School Dean

Advise the School Leadership on strategic and policy directions regarding Psychology

Management of both campuses in Saigon South and Hanoi
