Full Job Description
AWS Professional Services is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Program Manager to serve as the AWSome Awards Ambassador. This role supports promoting and managing the program within the organization and is essential to building a culture of gratitude that reaches every builder. In this hands-on role, you'll drive participation, review and shortlist nominees, and coordinate approval mechanisms with ProServe leadership. You'll work cross-functionally with the Recognition Team, HR, Communications, and ProServe leadership to ensure the program celebrates employee contributions meaningfully and maintains a consistent experience across the organization. The ideal candidate is passionate about employee recognition, thrives on operational details, and builds repeatable solutions that drive engagement and participation. This role is based in Arlington, VA or New York City and requires regular on-site presence. Key job responsibilities • Champion the program. Promote AWSome Awards across ProServe, model recognition behaviors, and drive awareness and participation • Review quarterly All-Star and annual Legend Award nominations, evaluating against criteria including completeness, breadth, depth, and scope of impact • Prepare ranked shortlists with concise summaries and supporting rationale for leadership to make final selections • Organize award presentations and coordinate timely, meaningful award ceremonies that celebrate team successes and maximize visibility • Manage program communications and coordination, localize and amplify messages about AWSome Awards, provide program updates to ProServe leadership, and manage launch announcements, nomination reminders, and post-event recaps • Track program metrics (nomination volume, participation rates, turnaround times) and surface insights to leadership for continuous improvement and adoption • Identify process gaps and implement improvements that reduce manual effort, improve the nominee/winner experience, and scale across regi
