Must Have
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution, two (2) years of experience related to the area of or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Nice to Have
prior experience reviewing DCI background checks, Basic knowledge of State Highway Patrol operations and polices, Experience with programs and applications used by members assigned to the Dealer Section, e. g. STARS, SADLS, INovah, OneDrive, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Teams, Remote Deposit Capture etc., Working knowledge of standard office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, printers, telephones, fax machines, scanners, teller scan bank systems, calculators, and copiers, Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant internet-based platforms used for licensing, regulatory compliance, and permitting processes across various industries, Basic knowledge of accounting practices specific to money management, Knowledge of North Carolina General Statutes and Administrative Code pertaining to automotive dealership licensing and operation, industry-specific rules and regulations, and relevant departmental and divisional policy and procedures, Experience interpreting and explaining policy and procedures, rules, regulations, and/or laws to a diverse clientele, Experience working in a team environment, collaborating, communicating, and meeting shared goals

The NCSHP has more than 1,600 troopers who cover nearly 80,000 miles of North Carolina roadways, more than any other state except Texas. In addition to enforcing the state's traffic laws, state troopers also guide traffic during hurricane evacuations, re-route traffic around hazardous chemical spills, and they stand ready should any act of terrorism occur.
