What You'll Do.
Review surgical documentation
Assign accurate codes
Comply with national coding guidelines
Apply coding conventions and rules
Contact personnel for documentation insufficiencies
Expedite resolution of accounts
Code complex surgical procedures
Interpret medical record documentation
Assign appropriate ICD-10
Assure quality and timely coding
Assure charging and abstraction of accounts
Maintain and enhance coding knowledge
Attend clinical in-services
Attend coding seminars
Study circulating reference materials
and timely review of data
Obtain information to accurately code assignments
Work with other offices to facilitate billing
Monitor provider documentation
Perform audits to assess provider coding accuracy
Follow up with provider education
Provide assistance to Revenue Cycle Operations
Resolve problem patient accounts
Analyze and resolve issues of missing charges
Research department reimbursement
Interact with physician and non-physician providers
Maximize correct coding initiatives
Maintain expertise in coding guidelines
Maintain expertise in sequencing guidelines
Assign healthcare information accurately
Manage LVAD interrogations
Manage moderate sedation
