What You'll Achieve.
Optimization of product flow through the Environmental lab; Efficiency improvement projects; Identification and elimination of defects within test process; Reduction of downtime for product and personnel
Industry & Context.
Resolution of in-process anomalies; Fault finding; Problem resolution
Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed, Respond to phone calls for assistance in off hours, Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted, Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required, US Citizenship Required
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing/production environment, 1+ years of experience leading a team or project, 5 years of experience in a production test environment, Experience with Microsoft, Able to plot data in excel, Experience effectively communicating (verbal and written) with both production and engineering teams, Experience building, leading and consistently maintaining cohesive teams, Organized and self-driven, capable of working independently with little direction in a fast-paced/cross-functional environment, Ability to read, interpret controlled documentation, and processes such as: mechanical drawings, schematics, assembly procedures/work instructions, engineering drawings, parts lists, wiring diagrams, or layout drawings
Nice to Have
Experience within an aerospace environment, Experience with Thermal Cycle Chambers, Thermal Vacuum Chambers, Vibration Table, Shock Table, Demonstrable hands-on skill in fault finding, problem resolution, Familiarity with BOM or ERP management tools, work order and assembly traveler management tools, data analysis in spreadsheets, and extraction and documentation of test data from lab test equipment, Experience with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) & Foreign Object Debris (FOD) reduction / prevention methods
What You'll Do.
Manage and direct the activities of Production Test Technicians
Ensure program needs are met through smoke watch system
Provide clear pass-down communication between shifts
Coordinate Quality Support
Resolution of in-process anomalies
Provide technical guidance and training
Provide process guidance and training
Manage technicians by assessing employee performance
Monitor and approve employee timecards
Perform technician tasks independently
Keep up to date on preventative maintenance tasks
Coordinate with Test Engineering for calibration
Provide and/or coordinate training for technician team
Define staffing and equipment requirements
Establish and analyze area metrics
