Positions and secures specified dies in the dieholder, using hand tools. Lifts coil of wire onto feed reel and threads it through dies. Coats wire with lubricant to facilitate the drawing machine and starts machine. Inspects and measures drawn wire to verify conformance to specified shape, size and resistance, using instruments such as wire gauges and micrometers, and replaces worn dies by using hand tools. Performs tensile strength and other tests and records test data on proper form.
