Must Have
Post secondary education or equivalent experience, 5 or more years of progressive management skills in a manufacturing related environment, comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance operations and related processes, Working knowledge of customer shipping requirements, inventory controls, production scheduling, engineering systems/procedures and plant raw materials, Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, project management skills to manage and co-ordinate internal and external project resources, Proficiency with Microsoft and other manufacturing related software, Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation

Maintain safe working conditions and practices

Recognize and rectify unsafe working conditions
Maintain excellent housekeeping in the department
Complete accident investigations and reports
Comply with all Company safety policies

Enforce SHSS Plant Policies and Procedures
Lead and motivate employees
Implement creative and innovative solutions
Provide direction to employees
Schedule and assign daily duties
Review completed work for conformance
Deliver on commitments

Ensures employees know how to perform each job assigned to them in an efficient manner and that they are fully aware of the correct and safe way to operate their equipment. Ensures employees are instructed on the use and comply with Company standards on the use of personal protective equipment. Responsible for recognizing and rectifying unsafe working conditions, maintains excellent housekeeping in the department by performing regular inspections of their department(s). Ensures that a proper investigation of any accident is completed and reported in a timely manner. Comply with all Company safety policies, procedures and rules.
