Develops and implements policies and procedures for various production activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposing of materials, and maintaining a current inventory., Performs inspections of the physical condition of production equipment., Prepares work orders for repairs or requisitions for replacement of equipment., Collaborates with department heads to coordinate operational activities with other functions, including production, sales, records control, and purchasing., Follow and maintain all Quality Assurance, HACCP, SQF requirements, and Occupational Health and safety regulations and ensure all employees in their department follow them., Completed all required training (e.
, Leadership, Equipment, and Operational), ensured employees’ adherence to company practices and procedures, and applied corrective action when needed., Conducts interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff., Conducts performance monitoring (e.
, Probationary, Annual Evaluation, and Performance Objectives) of staff, initiates follow-through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department., Develops the department's capital and operational budget., Routinely monitors, manages, and controls the budget, analyzes variances, takes appropriate action, and develops plans for productivity improvements., Performs other duties as assigned.
