Job Description As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for executing the Youfoodz manufacturing plan across designated production areas. You will provide day-to-day operational leadership to frontline teams and Team Managers, playing a critical tactical role in driving team performance, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and audit readiness within your area of control. Manage labour efficiency KPIs (e.g., labour cost/kg, headcount control) and proactively adjust labour plans in line with volume changes. Drive a culture of audit readiness by ensuring sustained compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, and internal food safety standards. Lead and champion workplace health and safety (WHS), ensuring all activities comply with legislation, site policies, and safe work procedures. Conduct or support incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, including process efficiencies, cost reduction projects, and waste minimisation. Coach, develop, and mentor Team Managers to build leadership capability, safety ownership, and front-line performance. Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality Manager, Engineering, Inwards Goods) to support site improvement plans. You have… 3–5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment. At least 2 years’ experience successfully leading or managing frontline leaders or large operational teams. A strong understanding of WH&S, HACCP, and food manufacturing compliance requirements. Demonstrated success in improving operational performance, including efficiency, waste reduction, and labour utilisation.
