High school diploma or equivalent, Basic mathematic skills, Basic computer utilization skills, Ability to learn and comprehend written instructions, Ability to utilize hand tools, Able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays, Effective verbal and written communication skills, Tactful and professional manner, Ability to reflect and uphold company mission, vision, and values
Nice to Have
Previous experience in manufacturing, plastic extrusion, fiber optic cables or electronics, Experience working with Continuous Improvement (CI), or Lean processes, Lean or CI certifications, Previous SAP or ERP experience, Forklift experience / certifications
What You'll Do.
Review Pull orders and raw materials
Set up assigned process per SOP
Perform break-down process of ribbon and dye components
Clean components with approved chemicals
Document daily production reports
Complete quality check points
Set up the jacketing process
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Complete operator Preventative Maintenance (PM) duties
and unload fiber ribbon reels
Monitor the unitize process
