The Lead oversees daily production activities, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. This role acts as a bridge between management and production staff, coordinating workflow, monitoring performance, and resolving issues to maintain productivity and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Counsel, mentor, coach, and develop employees. Coordinate production workflow throughout the department and move resources as needed. Ability to communicate to opposite shifts to ensure proper shift handoffs. Ensure all crew members are prepared and ready for duty including having their proper PPE. Ability to enforce all company guidelines, standards, and policies including Safety & Quality. Ability to make quick business decisions such as adjusting/moving personnel, as needed to meet product requirements Perform daily quality checks Cross trained to safely operate all equipment and cover all positions as needed. Train department employees to safely and accurately perform tasks to predetermined standards. Notify management of equipment malfunctions and other potential safety issues. Maintain accurate production records, report issues, and suggest improvements. Assist in onboarding and training new team members on processes and safety.
