## **At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.** **Role Overview** We are looking for a **Senior Validation Engineer** to join our team and drive validation of advanced **audio codecs, DSP algorithms, and software libraries**. This role involves building robust validation strategies, developing automated test frameworks, and ensuring high-quality deliverables across embedded and Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about **audio signal processing and automation** , with strong programming and debugging skills. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and execute **validation plans** for audio codecs, DSP algorithms, and associated libraries * Develop **automated test frameworks** for large-scale validation across multiple configurations * Perform **functional, performance, and regression testing** of audio processing pipelines * Analyze audio outputs using objective and perceptual metrics to ensure quality compliance * Create and maintain **test infrastructure on Linux systems** , including integration with CI pipelines * Develop tools and scripts for **test generation, execution, result analysis, and reporting** * Collaborate with **design, development, and system teams** to debug and resolve issues * Build reusable validation assets and improve **test coverage and efficiency** * Drive **continuous improvement** in validation methodologies and automation workflows **Required Skills & Experience** * Strong programming expertise in **C** * Proficiency in **Python** for automation and data analysis * Good understanding of **Digital Signal Processing (DSP)** concepts * Hands-on experience with **audio codecs** (e.g., AAC, MP3, Opus, or similar) * Strong working knowledge of **Linux environments** * Expertise in **shell scripting (Bash)** * Experience with **test automation frameworks** and validation methodologies * Hands-on experience with **Jira** for de
