Industry & Context.
Identify different types of corrosion; clean and treat corrosion; remove damaged areas; fabricate parts to repair damaged area; determine rivet patterns; determine layouts; perform close tolerance assembly operations such as: shimming, fitting, trimming, and aligning where variances may occur considerably from one assembly to another as with fairings and the mating of major structural assemblies
Operate daily wearing required safety equipment, U. S. Person as defined by 22 C. F. R. §120. 62 is required, Must be able to work 1st and/or 2nd shift
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2+ years of performing aircraft structural and mechanical work, 2+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures, Proficient working with Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have
FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is desirable
What You'll Do.
Assemble aircraft structures and associated components
Setup and use a variety of precision measuring instruments
stringers in skinned assemblies
Operate equipment such as brakes
Pickup blind hole locations for blank parts from existing structure
wrinkles in outer skins
Identify different types of corrosion
Clean and treat corrosion
Fabricate parts to repair damaged area
Determine rivet patterns
Document maintenance and repair actions
equipment status tags
and equipment as required
Perform close tolerance assembly operations such as: shimming
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Train and assist newer structures mechanics in proper methods and techniques
Communication Scope
Communicate using basic computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office as needed to complete essential job requirements
