****Job Description:**** Vacancy: Product Quality Controller LOCATION: Quality, Belfast RESPONSIBLE TO: Product Assurance Manager PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsible for the validation and certification of product hardware and associated equipment in accordance with customer, regulatory and specification requirements. Product Quality Controllers are responsible for monitoring the Quality systems and procedures. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES  Carrying out Inspection, Quality Control and Quality Assurance Functions.  Ensuring product compliance with design specification, customer and approving authority requirements and regulations.  Providing instruction and advice to operators as and when required.  Monitoring the Delegated Operator Scheme.  Working flexibly in groups.  Writing technical reports to highlight drawing, process and tooling anomalies to instigate investigation and corrective action. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on application to demonstrate how the applicant meets essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.  Applicants must have completed a recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship and have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant post apprenticeship experience in an electrical aerospace environment or a manufacturing/assembly or tooling environment.  Candidates must be familiar with quality control requirements.  An ONC/ A levels or equivalent qualifications is desirable.  A knowledge of 3D metrology would be desirable.  The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and to communicate effectively is essential.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Company manufacturing and assembly practices, requirements and standards.
