Must Have
Experience in a Product Manager, Service Tooling, or Service Management role within an MSP or complex IT environment., Understanding of ITIL practices and how tooling underpins service delivery., Experience owning or governing ITSM platforms and associated tooling ecosystems.

Ensuring all tooling platforms are fit for operational purpose

Managing the wider internal tooling estate
and any future platforms.
Acting as the single point of responsibility for tooling vision
backlog prioritisation
and stakeholder alignment.
Translating business needs into scalable solutions
prioritising effectively
and protecting core design principles.
Owning the product vision
and backlog for all internal Managed Services tooling.
Ensuring tooling supports efficient
and auditable service delivery.
Translating operational
and business needs into clearly defined
prioritised product backlog items.
Balancing competing demands across teams.
Acting as the authority on tooling scope
configuration standards
Ensuring tooling changes are assessed for operational impact
aligned to ITIL practices
and introduced in a controlled manner.
Driving continual improvement through data-led insights
and service performance trends.
Representing internal tooling at governance forums
and leadership discussions.
Maintaining and prioritising a single
transparent backlog covering all internal tooling.
Defining clear user stories
and outcomes for tooling enhancements.
Ensuring backlog items are sized
and ready for delivery.
Prioritising backlog items based on client impact
Regularly reviewing and re-prioritising work.
Acting as the Product Manager for HALO
including configuration standards
reporting and dashboards
Ensuring HALO supports ITIL-aligned processes.
Supporting client onboarding and offboarding within HALO.
Leading and managing the evolution of HALO.
and governing additional internal tools (e.g. Netcall
Assessing and onboarding new tooling where a clear business case exists.
Preventing duplication of capability and unmanaged tool adoption.
Working closely with Service Operations
and Engineering leads to ensure tooling reflects how services are delivered.
Ensuring tooling enables accurate SLA tracking
Supporting the Clients Monthly service reporting collateral and reports.
Supporting service onboarding and acceptance activities.
Ensuring the tooling platforms support effective contract management and service compliance.
Ensuring the tooling platforms provide accurate billing inputs.
Working closely with Finance and Service Management teams.
Ensuring tooling configurations meet relevant internal and client audit
compliance and assurance requirements.
Supporting profitability through efficient process design.
Acting as the primary interface between operational teams and technical delivery resources for tooling.
Managing expectations
