## Description Product Development Mechanical Engineer Location: Columbus, OH Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Compensation: Starting at $60,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on qualifications and experience. Position Summary We are seeking a Product Development Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and enhancement of electrical power distribution and protection products. This position plays a key role in bringing new products and product improvements from concept through prototype and production while collaborating with multiple departments across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical design, 3D modeling, prototype development, and manufacturing support. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative engineering projects while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. ## Key Responsibilities Product Design & Engineering Develop mechanical designs and engineering documentation for new and existing power distribution and protection products. Create and maintain detailed CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. Support the design and development of products including switchboards, power distribution equipment, and related electrical enclosures. Participate in engineering reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product performance, manufacturability, and quality. Implement design revisions and improvements based on review outcomes and testing results. Prototype Development & Validation Design, release, and support the fabrication of prototype components and assemblies. Coordinate prototype evaluation activities and identify opportunities for product enhancements. Lead continuous improvement efforts resulting from prototype testing and validation.
