B.S. or higher in Food Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field, 2+ years of hands-on formulation in oral pouch products, Supported or led product scale-up and transfer to co-manufacturers, Write clear, precise technical documentation, Comfortable operating lab equipment independently
Nice to Have
Direct experience with oral drug or supplement delivery systems, Sensory science background or structured panel experience, Working knowledge of DSHEA, 21 CFR Part 111, and dietary supplement labeling regulations, Experience with dissolution testing or in vitro release method development
What You'll Do.
Design and iterate on novel formulations
Manage water activity
and dissolution characteristics
Document all formulations
and qualify new raw materials
Evaluate novel active ingredients
Maintain working knowledge of ingredient regulatory status
Lead technical transfer of bench formulations
Prepare co-manufacturer briefs
Prepare processing instructions
Define critical quality attributes
Own scale-up troubleshooting
Identify root causes of performance deltas
Drive resolution of performance deltas
Participate in production trials
Participate in line qualifications
Document outcomes of trials
Manage change controls
Serve as primary technical point of contact
Design and execute structured sensory evaluations
Build and analyze panelist data
Apply statistical reasoning
Identify meaningful performance trends
Translate sensory feedback into hypotheses
Support development of product specifications
Support development of in-process testing protocols
Support development of finished goods release criteria

You’ll own the full lifecycle of oral pouch product development—from initial bench formulation through scale-up, co-manufacturer transfer, and commercial launch.
