Full Job Description
About Brick... Brick is transforming how people interact with technology—helping people minimize distractions, reclaim focus, and live more intentionally. Our physical device and companion app turn smartphones from sources of distraction into tools for presence and productivity. We’re on a mission to help people take back control of their time and attention so they can focus on what matters most—and we’re building a team of thoughtful, driven people to make that happen. We are scaling rapidly and are building out a robust cloud platform that supports mobile clients, hardware devices, analytics, personalization, and real-time features. Job Summary / About the Role: Brick is looking for a Product Designer to join our growing technology team. This is an early design hire who will work closely with engineering, product, and marketing to shape how Brick looks, feels, and works. You’ll be hands-on in the design process: researching customer needs, defining flows, prototyping, and shipping polished experiences. But you’ll also help grow the design system, influence product strategy, and bring creativity to a company that blends technology, retail, and hospitality. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup, is comfortable with ambiguity, and loves crafting elegant solutions to complex problems. Location: This role is based in our Chicago office, with an expectation of 3 days per week in person. Given the cross-functional nature of this work, in-person collaboration is a core part of how we operate — with flexibility to work from home as needed. What You’ll Do: Own end-to-end design for key product features (research, flows, wireframes, visual polish). Partner with product managers and engineers to define problems and explore solutions. Evolve Brick’s design system for consistency, speed, and scalability. Contribute to customer research and usability testing to inform decisions. Translate brand identity into digital experiences that feel delightful
