Full Job Description
## Accountabilities You will own the design vision, execution quality, and team development for a critical product domain, ensuring both strategic alignment and hands-on contribution to the most complex problems. Define and own the end-to-end experience strategy and design quality bar for your product area Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of product designers through critique, coaching, and hands-on collaboration Contribute directly to product design work, spending a significant portion of time in the tools solving high-impact problems Partner as an equal with Product and Engineering leaders to shape roadmap direction and product decisions Lead research efforts to uncover user needs across multiple personas and translate insights into product direction Strengthen and extend the design system by identifying gaps and building reusable patterns and components Navigate complex trade-offs between ideal user experience, technical constraints, and operational realities Build and evolve design processes, critique standards, and delivery practices that enable a small team to operate at high velocity and high quality Requirements: You bring strong experience designing and leading work on complex, systems-heavy products, combined with the ability to elevate both craft and team performance. You are comfortable operating with autonomy and making high-stakes product decisions in ambiguous environments. Proven experience designing and shipping complex SaaS, fintech, infrastructure, or developer-focused products Prior experience leading or mentoring product designers, formally or informally Strong craft skills across interaction design, visual design, and information architecture Demonstrated ability to own a product domain from early ambiguity through to shipped outcomes Experience working closely with Product and Engineering in a highly collaborative environment Ability to operate independently with high autonomy and minimal direction Strong systems thinking and comfort wor
