What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Demonstrated news judgment, writing skills, photography experience, non-linear editing skills, Understanding of the tenants of professional journalism, Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines, Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events, Current driver’s license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations
Nice to Have
Experience producing digital video content in a newsroom environment is a plus, Experience in editing, and content management systems is a plus
What You'll Do.
Gather editorial elements needed for stories
including social media newsgathering

Contribute to the day’s editorial direction by pitching story ideas

Participate in breaking news coverage and special projects.
Demonstrate proficiency in using social media platforms for newsgathering
and content creation.
Maintain a well-established network of contacts
including community organizations
federal and local officials
and other media outlets.
