Full Job Description
**_Job Family_ :** Management Consulting ** _Travel Required_ :** Up to 10% **_Clearance Required_ :** Active Secret ** _What You Will Do_ :** The Procurement Support Specialist will provide financial management, acquisition strategy development, and procurement oversight in support of procurement initiatives at the Department of State. The Support Specialist will work closely with program managers, Contracting Officers, CORs, and leadership to ensure efficient execution of procurement activities, optimal use of fiscal resources, and compliance with Federal acquisition policies. The individual will support end-to-end acquisition planning, manage budget execution tasks, develop key acquisition documentation, and provide strategic guidance to improve procurement processes and outcomes. Day to Day Responsibilities May Include: * Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies and procedures. * Support drafting of acquisition packages, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), justifications, market research, developing procurement strategy, quality assurance surveillance plans, statements of objectives, synopses, solicitations, price negotiation memorandum, source selection plans. * Support proposal and quote evaluations, price/cost analysis, and technical proposal and quote analysis. * Coordinate with Contracting Officers and CORs to ensure timely contract execution. * Advise on contract modifications, funding actions, and invoice approvals. * Participate in and provide briefings and presentations about acquisition process to senior management. **_What You Will Need_ :** * An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance * FIVE (5) years of Federal contract support experience within the last SEVEN (7) years. * Direct experience with federal acquisition processes and activities including development of acquisition documents such as statements of work, market research, and acquisition plans ** _What Would Be Nice
