Coordinates purchasing activities with Supply Chain, Facilities, GIS, EH&S, Security, R&D, Quality, Instrument, Consumables/Reagents, Marketing, HR, Finance, Legal and Commercial to acquire indirect Goods and Services in a cost effective and timely manner. Processes vendor qualification, purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity. Partner with Indirect Sourcing to develop and execute Supplier selection, evaluation and business awarding process and category sourcing strategies for local and regional initiatives. Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability. Requires domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities. This position is key in helping Illumina achieve cost savings for Indirect Goods and Servies through appropriate strategies including bidding, price and contract negotiations, vendor consolidation, preferred pricing agreements etc. This position will also be responsible for working with internal stakeholder and Finance team mitigating Supply or Financial risk
