What They're Looking For.
Must Have
proven procurement experience in strategic sourcing, category strategy building, strategic project execution, general contracting understanding and proficiency or relevant related commodity experience, experience in procurement systems, processes, skills in project management, knowledge and experience in the Clinical Laboratories commodity area (Genomics and Genetics, Bioanalytics, Soluble Biomarkers, Flow Cytometry, Histopathology, Central laboratories), awareness of adjacent commodities, deep knowledge and experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, market research & analysis in R&D categories, understand the related R&D regulations (e.g. GCP), fluent in English to a Business level
Nice to Have
preferably in business or a scientific related discipline like Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry

ensure effective and efficient delivery of core procurement services
continuous improvement of automation and content availability
translate business needs into sourcing and spend management activities and content enhancement
support customer demand
improve the customer buying experience
deliver on day-to day operational activities
provide capacity and expertise to deliver productivity and other customer oriented projects/solutions
conducting market and internal analysis to develop strategies and tactical plans for how Roche should source and negotiate for third party goods and services in order to satisfy stakeholder requirements
delivering and executing sourcing strategies
develop content and automation
translating sourcing outcomes and opportunities into content and automated buying channels that improve business adoption
and overall efficiency
