Procurement Buyer As a Procurement Buyer, you will be a cornerstone of the Supply Chain team, driving both operational excellence and strategic growth. You will manage the direct materials supply base to ensure our manufacturing and lab operations never miss a beat. This role is perfect for a data-driven professional who thrives in an SAP S/4HANA environment and is passionate about Continuous Improvement (CI). What You'll Do Manage purchase order placement, tracking, and delivery in strict alignment with site planning and inventory requirements. Provide accurate, forward-looking volume outlooks to supplier partners to facilitate robust medium and long-term capacity planning. Act as the primary point of contact for order status and scheduling, collaborating closely with Logistics Specialists to resolve transit or customs issues. Proactively track open orders to identify potential shortages, highlight delivery risks, and escalate critical supply issues to leadership when necessary. Partner with Planning, NPI (New Product Introduction), Logistics, and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve supply constraints. Secure optimal pricing and lead times while continuously auditing supplier performance to ensure cost-competitiveness and risk reduction. Support the implementation of Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R) and supplier diversity commitments within sourcing strategies and contract requirements.
