Uncovers issues, evaluates various courses of action, and promotes the best option for resolution; statistical techniques to analyze the data, forecast, interpret, and quantify trends; analytical modeling techniques to understand supplier price and cost; identifies and analyzes data from disparate sources to derive insights and turn data into actionable information
This candidate will be required to work onsite 4-days per week, with the option to work 1-day per week remote, This position is not sponsorship eligible
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Supply Chain experience, Continuous Improvement experience, Six Sigma experience, Lean Sigma experience, Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet and database management advanced MS Excel skills including VBA programming, macros, and advanced formulas, Experience with intermediate SQL querying, Experience with MS PowerPoint and Access and eProcurement systems, Experience analyzing and documenting medium to complex business processes or problems using intermediate to advanced statistical and analytical modeling techniques and with a focus on detail, cost drivers, and total cost of ownership, Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with customers and stakeholders to build internal and external relationships while maintaining a high sense of urgency and customer focus, Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks with varying and sometimes competing timelines, 2 - 4 years of supply chain and/or equivalent experience (i. e. Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Transportation, Operations, etc. )
What You'll Do.
support the Category Manager in executing sourcing strategies
manage supplier performance
deliver data-driven insights to inform procurement decisions
analyze spend and supplier data
conduct market research
identify opportunities to improve cost
and overall supplier value
assist with the end-to-end contracting process
including sourcing activities
supplier negotiations
and contract management
partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support day-to-day category management activities and drive procurement efficiency
perform price and cost analysis in support of total cost of ownership analysis
maintain and interpret spend and savings data to measure supplier performance
contribute to the selection and management of key suppliers through appropriate analysis
evaluation and documentation
communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to maintain knowledge of stakeholders’ business and opportunities and anticipate their needs/requests
communicate regularly with suppliers
analyzing and evaluating their performance
evaluate various courses of action
and promote the best option for resolution
access and compile large amounts of data and apply statistical techniques to analyze the data
and quantify trends on various aspects of information
obtain data for cost analysis studies respective to assigned categories and conduct spend analysis as necessary to support sourcing activities
analyze and recommend the use of alternative sources or materials to reduce cost
align with sourcing initiatives and leverage internal and external resources to assist with and perform research to develop the supply base
develop a comprehensive understanding of the supply base
perform market and industry trend analysis
evaluate supply sources
and assist stakeholders in identifying solutions to their needs
identify and analyze data from disparate sources to derive insights and turn data into actionable information
conduct spend analyses of moderate complexity to support sourcing related activities
using intermediate to advanced analytical modeling techniques to understand supplier price and cost
perform other duties as assigned or apparent
