Full Job Description

# **Job Description** * Set up machines for operation, change material and color to meet production schedules. * Must have a technical understanding of process and raw materials used. * Keep supervisor/management informed of all problems. * Will at times directly supervise / manages others. * Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints by taking to Supervisor to resolve problems. * Cover for the supervisor in his/her absence. * Startup machines and monitor quality at start up. * Make appropriate adjustments to machines to maintain efficient production levels and document appropriately. * Respond to Quality Assurance Techs by adjusting machines to maintain appropriate sizes and standards. * Oversee proper packaging procedures. * Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands. * Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Packer/Handler problems. * Use proper Lockout/tagout procedures. * Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions. * Inspect scrap to prevent any usable product from being ground and record scrap numbers. * Ability to effectively perform the Packer/Handler job to assist with relief breaks. * Assist with Material Handling as needed. * Keep the floor stocked with materials required for production (fitments/handles/labels/tape, etc.). * Maintain a safe working environment. * Responsible for ensuring quality and housekeeping standards are maintained. * Ensure a smooth transition between shifts. * Various other duties as assigned. # **Our Expectations** We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
