Must Have
B. S. in Engineering (Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Glass Science, Ceramic, or Metallurgical Engineering) from an ABET accredited institution, Minimum of 1 year of experience in a complex manufacturing process or an internship experience in a complex manufacturing environment, Ability to understand complex process flow and machinery, Desire to become a subject matter expert in the assigned process area, Ability to multi-task, Ability to prioritize tasks to make progress on short term and long term initiatives, Exhibit engagement, involvement and curiosity about other departments or process areas outside of immediate assigned area, Ability to influence people or departments outside of direct process area, Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and across different departments, Demonstrated ability to work in high pressure situations, Demonstrated ability to improve a situation, Initiative to take on large or many different responsibilities and initiative to anticipate problems or seek improvements without being prompted, Excellent communication skills, Proficiency in Excel, Proficiency PowerPoint, Detail and quality oriented, presentation skills, Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, Comfortable speaking to large audiences, Experience working with large sets of data and making data driven decisions, Ability to make analytical decision, Ability to contribute to the team’s culture of continuous process changes and improvements, Ability to work with little supervision, Ability to work independently
Nice to Have
3-5 years experience in complex manufacturing environment, B. S/M. S. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Glass Science, Ceramic or Metallurgical Engineering, Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or SAS
