What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Precision Optics, or similar disciplines., Minimal experience in precision engineering or manufacturing environments., English communication skills with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multitask minimal travel required.
Nice to Have
Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software, exposure to cobotic handling and programming (example C#, PLC) as added advantages., Experience in process engineering, productivity, or automation improvement.
What You'll Do.
support engineering activities required in existing product sustainment
new product introduction
and process improvement to support current and long term needs of Optics operations.
developing and deploying productivity projects to automate optics manufacturing processes.
Drive product and process sustainment performance
Lead First Pass Yield improvement initiatives by analyzing defect
and implementing corrective actions to improve quality performance and reduce manufacturing cost.
Support customer quality and engineering governance activities
Participate in customer quality improvement efforts
Engineering Change (EC)
and Material Review Board (MRB) processes
ensuring timely root cause analysis and effective corrective and preventive actions.
Improve manufacturing efficiency through process optimization
digitalization and automation
Collaborate closely with Production to implement process improvements
including standardization
and digital or data‑driven solutions
to enhance productivity
Execute New Product Introduction (NPI) and process development activities
Review new product designs for manufacturability
develop process parameters
and create or review Bill of Material
and benchmark setup costs to support smooth transfer to manufacturing.
Ensure robust process documentation and training readiness
and update manufacturing process documentation (e. g.
Preventive Maintenance)
and support work improvement workshops and training to ensure consistent and effective execution on the shop floor.
