Full Job Description
We’re seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Jandakot Fulfillment Center for a position on Day Shift, Tuesday-Friday from 0645-1700. The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities in one of the following process areas within the Fulfillment Center Operations: Receive, stow, pick, pack or ship. You'll have the opportunity to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible. Key Job Responsibilities: - Support and work in all departments as required - Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties etc - Providing coverage for Area Managers - Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline) - Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours - Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance - Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance - Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity - Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals - Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised - Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area - Coaching associates to work safely at all times Basic Qualifications: - Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required - Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement - Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment - Leadership experience managing others Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections
