What They're Looking For.
Must Have
AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training), 8 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Nice to Have
Technical machinist trade school certification or manufacturing degree, CNC machining, Machine control programming (MasterCam), Dimensional inspection (MicroVU), Experience with AutoCad, Wire EDM, machine setup, comparator operation, dimensional M&TE or Blueprint reading, Knowledge of algebra and geometry, Knowledge/experience of Model Based Design (MBD)
What You'll Do.
Fabricating parts for Non-interference stress measurement (NSMS) probes to support development testing for commercial and military engine programs
Fabricate holding fixtures required for manufacture of Non-interference stress measurement (NSMS) probes parts
Fabricate instrumentation and special test equipment parts to support development testing in WPB test facilities
Modify development testing hardware to support development testing for commercial
and APU engine programs
Maintain shop tooling and inventory of cutting tools
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
High degree of interaction with both the Measurement Systems Engineering design group, Probe Services optics installation group and test operations groups
Communication Scope
Effective verbal and written communication skills
