What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Honours degree from a university of recognized standing in Engineering, 10 years + experience, Demonstrated ability to carry out responsibilities noted above, Excellent knowledge of the CANDU design, including both NSP and BOP, Broad knowledge of system operation, plant response and understanding of underlying reliability principles, Able to work closely and effectively with the clients in a client/consultant relationship, Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible, Knowledge of severe accident analysis, Knowledge of severe accident management guidelines, Proven leadership skills, Ability to show initiative while working in a team environment, Ability to work to budget and schedule, Willing to travel occasionally, Full commitment to work in a formal QA environment, Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Nice to Have
Proficient in CAFTA suite of computer codes, CFAST proficiency, RiskSpectrum proficiency, Experience in licensing activities, Understanding of light water reactor design, Understanding of PSAs for light water reactors
What You'll Do.
Perform probabilistic safety assessments
Conduct reliability assessments
Interface with clients and projects
Prepare or review work proposals
Develop risk monitors
Develop generation risk assessments
and coordinate analysis phases
Propose and develop safety-analysis approaches
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams
Provide technical guidance and leadership
Develop training material in PSA

Work with other junior and senior staff; Coordinate multidisciplinary teams; Supervise staff; Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers; Promote teamwork; Ensure project-aligned execution through proactive collaboration; Work closely and effectively with clients; Coordinate the work with all interfaces

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Process & Methodology
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate analysis phases for large-scope projects, Ability to work to budget and schedule
