What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduate of Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), Licensure is required in every US State and Territory the Therapist is practicing., Possesses and maintains BLS certification

What You'll Do.
Evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy
Planning and executing individual treatment programs
Keeping treatment skills upgraded
Performing job responsibilities in accordance with program’s strategic objectives
Providing patient care
and services within the scope of their license
Evaluating patient condition
Establishing treatment goals in collaboration with patient and family
Administering treatment for each patient
Delegating responsibilities to physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians
Re-evaluating patient's status and effects of treatment
Revising treatment plan as necessary
Evaluating patient's need for medical equipment and ordering appropriate equipment
Evaluating equipment upon delivery and instructing patient
and health care workers on its use
Participating in planning for patient discharge
Documenting patient's status and progress
Communicating with others to integrate physical therapy treatment with all aspects of patient care
Participating in conferences/discussions
Instructing the patient and the family in physical therapy procedures
Attending various meetings and in-services
Following all hospital policy and procedures
Meeting or exceeding program productivity expectations
Providing discipline specific coverage within the Mary Free Bed system
Adhering to the Mary Free Bed Standards of Behavior
Supporting program operations
Participating in orientation and training of new staff
Serving as clinical instructor for physical therapy students
and evaluating skills of students
Communicating with participating universities regarding skill levels of students
Participating in program development and/or research activities
Meeting or exceeding clinical outcome collection standards
Meeting or exceeding clinical outcome performance/improvement goals
