**Line of Service** Internal Firm Services **Industry/Sector** Not Applicable **Specialism** IFS - Office of General Counsel (OGC) **Management Level** Manager **Job Description & Summary** Reporting to the Privacy & Intellectual Property Lead, this position is a member of the Office of the General Counsel and provides legal support to the firm’s privacy, data protection and intellectual property program. The role supports all facets of the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance with applicable privacy laws and internal policies and procedures. The successful candidate will provide strategic and practical advice on all aspects of privacy, data governance, and information protection, including data protection impact assessments, records retention, breach management, data loss prevention, individual access rights, commercial contracting, privacy training and awareness, and new ventures involving data. This role also supports intellectual property considerations where they intersect with the firm’s privacy and data governance objectives. As needed, this role will support continuity across all aspects of the privacy and data protection program, including breach management in the absence of the Privacy & Intellectual Property Lead. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to: * Providing strategic advice on privacy, data governance, and information protection, including breach management in the absence of the Privacy & Intellectual Property Lead * Acting as a member of the Office of General Counsel and collaborating with senior leadership to support the firm’s privacy and data protection program * Advising on IT solution onboarding, including
