What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS from and ABET accredited University, 15+ years of substation physical design experience, Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, Must be able to work legally in the United States for any length of time, PE license required
Nice to Have
Experience working directly with clients, supporting marketing proposals/efforts, Experience managing a design budget and schedule
What You'll Do.
Detailed physical design for high voltage substations
Generating single line diagrams
Generating general arrangements
Generating detailed elevations
Generating section views
Generating assembly details
Generating installation details
Generating bills of materials
Generating material counts
Coordination with other disciplines
Performing site visits
Writing material procurement specifications
Writing construction specifications
Evaluating contractor bids
Reviewing shop drawings
Researching equipment
Researching client standards
Performing typical calculations
Generating engineering fee estimates
Providing field support during construction
Mentors and teaches engineers
Mentors and teaches design staff
