Relocation provided, Travel to Blue Origin’s various manufacturing facilities may be required up to 10% of the time, Interviews will include a technical assessment, Must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (i. e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, 12+ years of experience writing and deploying software in production environments, Proven ability to proactively identify problems that are not yet realized where a path to the optimal solution is not clear, and to deliver scalable solutions, Consistent track record of proactively identifying, pursuing and resolving org-wide challenges, without direction from management, Established background in researching and incorporating modern AI/ML tools, Exceptional written and verbal communication skills., Experience presenting to senior leadership, at or above the Vice President level, Experience mentoring software engineers, including Senior Engineers, Deep passion for aerospace and Blue Origin’s mission
Nice to Have
Experience in design engineering manufacturing, supply chain, test and flight software and/or aerospace.
What You'll Do.
Develop and lead the technical strategy for the Supply Chain Technology organization
Build scalable solutions that automate and simplify Supply Chain and Manufacturing business processes
Serve as the technical owner of software strategy and implementation spanning the entirety of the Operations organization
and maintainable code
Craft and build web interfaces
Champion operational excellence
Lead technical design reviews across the organization
Build repeatable processes and mechanisms to scale design and delivery of software
Lead AI guidelines for software development
Establish and refine AI standards
Ensure responsible use of AI
Identify and implement novel applications of AI
Collaborate directly with business partners to understand and solve their technical challenges
Present sophisticated technical strategies to Supply Chain and Manufacturing leadership
Advocate for engineering stability and process standardization
Extensively mentor software developers up to the Senior SDE level
