What They're Looking For.
Must Have
degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, Proficient in MS Project, including resource loading, critical path analysis, and earned value management, Project Management experience
Nice to Have
expertise in material science with a focus on coated fabrics, including their manufacturing, properties, applications, and performance in aerospace environment, Project Management certifications (PMP, Agile, SAFe), Experienced in stage/gate development processes
What You'll Do.
lead and oversee operational sustainment and material projects
ensuring the successful planning
and delivery of projects
Develop and manage Materials Engineering project scope and schedules from cradle to first delivery
Lead multiple medium to large projects ($500K+) delivering on-cost
on-schedule and on-technical execution
assumptions and dependencies
Prepare progress reports and key project performance metrics including CPI/SPI/EAC
Support vendor/supplier/contractor oversight
ensuring alignment with project objectives
Provide regular status updates on projects to leadership
and other stakeholders
Align project schedules with the Work Breakdown Structure to ensure proper planning
monitoring and control
and resolve project issues in collaboration with project stakeholders
Ensure scope changes are identified
and communicated to the program manager for appropriate action
Support continuous improvement in maturing standards
and tools for effective project management practices
